2ED - Learning in action December

December is always a busy month. What, with Christmas productions, Explorer day, RE week, plus much, much more. On December 7th K.S.1 went to visit our local church and participated in a Christingle service and we are very much looking forward to going again next week for the crib service. Explorer day was exciting, particularly as Year 2 have found out it is on Toys!!! "YESSSSS"! was the reaction from all the children. We looked at some clips showing new and old toys, then the children worked together to cut out, put together and stick a jigsaw together. We also enjoyed playing with some new toys and using our Growth Mindset to share and take turns. We have also been looking at some of the John Lewis Christmas adverts in English. Writing character descriptions, letters and predicting what will happen next. Maths, we have been trying really hard to understand renaming with subtraction. We are looking forward to our last week of 2018, with the pantomime,science day and Christmas around the world.
