We have also started to read our new book called ‘Anglo Saxon boy’. Although we have only read the first few chapters, we are already completely hooked!
CREATIVE CURRICULUM
We learnt about Viking long ships and developed our Geography skills to locate inland and coastal towns using atlases and Google maps.
Saifiyy said, "I really enjoyed using Google maps on the laptops. I learned about lots of inland towns in Scotland which reminded me of Macbeth."
ART
We used our sketching skills to draw different long ship figureheads. We then used clay to make our own figurehead for a Viking long ship.
Chelsea said: "It was really fun sketching and shading different ship designs. Art is my favourite subject."
MUSIC
We have been learning to play the recorder in our music lessons this half term.
Adyan said “I find music lessons really enjoyable. We listen to lots of notes and repeat them to create music. I've really improved since we first started."
PE
We competed in the ‘TAG Rugby’ competition. We showed great sportsmanship, determination and team work.
"I was incredibly pleased with all of my class - you were amazing rugby players and I am o proud of how well you worked as a team. You were all Resilient Ronnie's today!" said Mrs Giblin"
