6TS February

This month the class have been working very hard at home and at school on their remote learning and we have been really impressed with the resilience they have shown through this challenging time. Thank you also to the families who have helped to support them at home, we really appreciate all you have done,

Maths

In maths this month we have started our new theme of measures to solve problems and convert units in mass, length and capacity. We have presented these tasks in many ways and the children have used their investigation and problem solving skills to solve them and convert the units of measure.

English

In English this month we have started to look at our text linked to the Vikings, Beowulf by Michael Morpurgo.

The class have enjoyed exploring the themes in the story and the legends of Norse mythology. We have been really impressed with their creativity when inventing their own mythical beasts and writing their own versions of the story.

Science

In science we have complete our topic of Animals including humans and focused on classification of creatures and microorganisms.
