6TS January learning

After 1 day on the classroom, the majority of 6TS began to complete the school work at home as we moved to remote learning. We are really impressed with how well the children have adapted and we love seeing their progress in the work they are completing. 

English

In English we have started to look at our new text; Beowulf as part of our topic of legends. We have read through the adapted version by Michael Morpurgo and started to plan and write our own legend based on the themes of this book. We have been really impressed with the imagination and creativity shown by the children in creating this and we can't wait to read their final versions. 

Maths 

In maths this month we have focused on improving our knowledge of the four operations and applied our skills to problem solving and investigations. 

Science

This term we have started our new topic of Living thing and their habitats. We have looked out how animals are organised into groups and used our scientific knowledge to classify living things into categories according to their characteristics. The class have really enjoyed learning more about the world around them and creating their own creature to classify. We have been really impressed with their home learning on this topic.
