April Learning in Action

April has gone by so quickly but we have still had a lovely month stepping into Spring and celebrating Easter.

We started off with our Easter Bonnet Parade where the children brought in their amazing home made bonnets.

After our bonnet parade we enjoyed an Easter party.  We did some Easter dancing and even made some chocolate nests, that we got to try afterwards!  Mmmm yummy!

We also read a brand new book called 'We're Going on an Egg Hunt'

The children really enjoyed this; we were able to count all of the eggs we found and join in with repeated refrains.

We could even remember how the story ended!

Can you remember what was hidden behind the last large egg?

Other books we have enjoyed in April are...

Count Down to Bedtime

This book supported us with our counting and helped us to think about all the things we do at home to get ready for bed.

I brush my teeth and have a story with my sister

Says Ruby.

I brush my teeth before school as well

Esther tells us.

Who can remember what we need to put on for bedtime?

Postman Bear

In this story Postman Bear invited his friends to his Birthday Party, we counted the envelopes and tried to guess who he might be posting them to. Afterwards we talked about how we could have our own teddy bears picnic for Postman Bear. Some of us decided to make our own invitations and post them in the nursery letterbox!

Who can remember some of Postman Bears friends?

Our first day back after Easter was so much fun and Mrs Coleman was so proud of how well we settled back in.

Look at what we got up to..

We are excited to start the Summer Term - our final one before we start Nursery!
