Happy Easter from 2SL

Before our Easter holidays we had our Easter Extravaganza.  We really enjoyed designing and making our vehicles in small teams.  We used our teamwork skills and resilience to make sure they were strong enough to hold an egg.  It was then competition time, we had to roll our vehicles down the ramp...we did it, 2SL won the KS1 race and therefore got to race against KS2.  Well done children!

Thank you to all the parents who came to our flourish event.  It was lovely to see more and more parents attending to share the successes of the children.  The children were very excited to share with the parents their scientific skills.  They had carried out an investigation to discover what seeds need to grow healthily.  Well done children, it was a great success!

Year 2 continue to work hard in preparation for the special work for Mrs Nelson. They have been applying their methods to solve problems and trying to edit and improve their written work.  They have been working hard with their reading also.  Please can you encourage the children to read everyday at home for around 10-15 minutes and to bring their reading book and diary into school everyday.
