IRH- we have had a busy december!

Wow! We have done so much this month! We had fun rehearsing for our Christmas production, "Keeping Mr In in the Inn", we had two dress rehearsals and two performances to all the parents. It was lovely to see so many families coming to share our learning with us! I think the children did a fantastic job too!

We enjoyed RE week, where we learned all about the Nativity story. We were also lucky because we got to visit our local church, St Francis, twice! On our first visit we learned all about the Christingle and we really enjoyed making our own! The next visit was to take part in a crib service, which involved lots of singing an dressing up!

We also had fun during our no pens day, where all our learning was really active! During our science day we continued our learning about seasonal changes. We learned that in Winter it can cold and snowy but it can also be very grey and raining! We talked about the months of the year that were in winter and the clothes that we should wear to keep us safe and warm.

To end our topic of The Great Fire of London, we used wood and glue to make our own Tudor houses. We then had great fun going outside and setting them on fire, imagining we were there in 1666! We have also had an explorer day where we have begun to learn a little about our next topic.

To end a very month we had our Christmas around the world day, where we learned all about how they celebrate Christmas in France. It was great fun learning to sing Jingle Bells in French!
