Little Ribbons - February Learning in Action

Wow - what a great February so far!

The children have been busy builders, constructing with blocks.  We have played cooperatively with our friends and taken turns to build and balance bricks to make our own den. We even know that tools can be used for a purpose.  We used drills and hammers; and even made our own sound affects to go with them as we worked!

Just take a look....

Reading together

Little Ribbons have some favourite books that we have enjoyed listening to and joining in with.

Squeak! Squeak! was fun and kept us guessing right to the end..

Squeak Squeak - it's her shoes! I remember.

Says Nana-Aba.

We all enjoyed trying to work out what the squeak might be.

I think it's a hamster!

Thought Ruby.

It's a mouse!

Said Teagan.

Such great guesses!

We also really enjoyed Farmer Duck,

Can you remember what the farmer shouts to the duck?

We all felt so sorry for the duck, working for the lazy farmer.  We practised our happy and sad faces - they were quite impressive.  It made us giggle!

Playing outside..

We learn just as much outside as we do inside...

The children independently placed chairs in a line and sang the 'Wheels on the Bus'.  We then gathered instruments and used the stage to sing some more of our favourite songs and rhymes.  Some of us even had a little dance!

I wonder what March will bring.  I can't wait to find out!
