Marvellous March in 5AS

Plas Dol-y-moch

This month, many children in 5AS went on a trip to Dol y moch (in Wales).

“My favourite part was when we went to the sea side. I have never been to the sea side before so it was really exciting going into the sea” Adnan

“My favourite part was going canoeing. I loved doing the Dol y moch dive because my sisters have not done it!” Ameera

“My favourite part was when we got our own rooms and my group received the highest score on the last day for keeping our rooms tidy.” Freya

“I loved going to the beach and doing parkour because I jumped the highest on the rocks and beat everyone else” Umme

“I loved going to the sea side and Mr Marston taught me and Marley how to skim rocks.” Fenton

English

In English, we made our own Harry Potter inspired broomsticks using natural resources found from the forest area.

Eggstravaganza

We have attempted to make our own vehicle using cardboard, polystyrene and other materials to carry an egg. It was EGGcellent! Our vehicles looked SMASHING!

Peer tutoring

We have loved reading with our year 1 peers.

“I like to read with the year 1’s because it helps with their education.” Hanan

“Reading with year 1’s is fun because we get to make friends with other students around our school.” Jessie

“I like reading with year 1’s because it’s really lovely to hear their stories and hear them explain what is happening in their story.” Sarah

“I like peer tutoring because once we have finished reading, we get to play games with the children.” Mario
