Rainy June's Amazing Learning!

Even with lots of rain this month it has not stopped us from our learning!

We have looked at some lovely books; lets take a look...

Mrs Honey's Hat

We all thought Mrs Honey had a very funny hat.  She had such a beautiful hat with a big bow, some shells and pretty flowers and then all kinds of things happened to it during the week!

Can you remember what happened to Mrs Honey's Hat?

In the classroom to support our story, we designed our own hats using coloured pencils and sparkly gems.  Mrs Coleman was really impressed when we had a go at cutting them out afterwards!

Our next story was Meg & Mog

Little Ribbons had lots of fun pretending to be Witches and making potions in the water!  We had a go at writing our own spells - there has been great progress with our mark making.  Some of us have even started to form recognisable letters - Fantastic!!

Our next book this month was "I Want to Do it by Myself!"

This helped support our learning in self-care and encouraged us to 'try new things'.

The Little Princess taught us that it's great to have a go at things we think might be a little bit tricky, but knowing that there is always an adult close by to encourage and support us if we need it really helps.

We're just reading all about Rabbit's Nap;

Poor old Rabbit just wants a little rest, but it's just too noisy!

Can you remember who kept Rabbit awake?

How did they help her fall asleep at the end?

In the environment we have had our own vets corner and a little pet shop.  It was lovely to see our Little Ribbons children dressing up and pretending to be vets.  In the construction area we had a go at building some homes for the animals we were caring for.

Even with all the rain, we have managed to explore outside and have had lots of fun.

Chasing bubbles is the best :) There were lots to run after and catch in the wind!

Every day brings us a different adventure and opportunities to learn.  Just look at what amazing things happen....

Don't forget to look out for messages and awards for all your home learning on Marvellous Me.

We have our fingers crossed that July brings us some sunshine!
