TES Awards 2019

We are very excited to announce that over the holidays we discovered we had been shortlisted as a finalist for the 2019 TES Awards in the category of English team of the year!

To enter the competition we had to submit an application, including case studies of pupils ,to meet the following criteria ...

The judges will want to see clear, quantifiable evidence of the success of any initiative and will also look at how your work has promoted your subject within your school or community. We are looking for teachers and teams who have created a sense of enthusiasm about the study of English – among students and colleagues – while also delivering excellent results.

To be shortlisted is a wonderful achievement and you will see from the list we are up against a wide range of schools, both Primary and Secondary from across the country.

On the 21st June a group of staff will be attending an evening Awards Ceremony in London, where we find out if we have won! To celebrate the wonderful achievement the 21st June will be an 'Awards' theme day in school. More information about plans for the day will be sent out in June.
