Coventry Young Ambassadors 

The Coventry Young Ambassador programme is a formal training programme to give children the skills they need to support at and lead various cultural and sporting events across the City.  The programme has received funding from a number of sources including City of Culture and the Sasakawa Foundation.

Plans for this year include:

* A formal training event for Coventry Young Ambassadors including a log book and CYA hoodie.

* A diary of ambassador opportunities including supporting at a number community events happening as part of Coventry being the European City of Sport 2019.

* Opportunities to support and participate in the Japan Arts Festival to take place in 2020.

Miss Dolman, who attended the training day and will be working with the CYA said:

'It was a fantastic opportunity for our children and our school. It is a great way to develop the children's confidence and leadership skills. As well as providing the school with opportunities our children wouldn't normally experience.'

The children have also commented on the experience so far:

‘ The training day was great, we did lots of activities to get us thinking about being a good role model for our school.’
