Guided Reading
This month, in guided reading we read and reviewed our Accelerated Reader books. We then wrote a persuasive speech to encourage others to read our chosen books.

English
This month, 5AS have been channelling their creativity through a freewrite. They had the chance to write anything they wanted! The only rule – they had 45 minutes to do it. From persuasive speeches as Nelson Mandela demanding the end to the Apartheid to poems detailing how significant Nelson Mandela was – we had it all!
We then went on to edit our learning using Seesaw and even publish our work! Take a look in the picture and link below:

Topic
Year 5 took innovation to another level this month by designing and then building their own models of Pompeii. We incorporated all the amazing innovations the Romans have given us and included them in our models. We couldn’t resist including Mount Vesuvius either!
Spanish day!
Hola! Spanish day was such a hit this month. We loved learning about the fierce and empowering artist, Freda Kahlo and we even painted portraits of her. We had a sensational time trying Zumba and loved making and tasting our own salsa.
