2ED June Learning

After working really hard on our SATS we started our new topic 'The Great Explorers'. We have learnt so much already. 

Wow week - we carried on our Explorer's theme by looking at Hot Air Balloons. We designed and made with a partner our very own paper mache hot air balloons. They were pretty and colourful but we found it tricky adding the baskets. 

Kashan "I enjoyed making the hot air balloons because I got to paint." 

On the Tuesday 18th June we went on a coach to the Sealife Centre to explore the sea creatures there. We saw penguins, seals, sharks, Jellyfish, a concrete mermaid and a turtle who was 34 years old called Mo.

"I enjoyed going through the shark tunnel and seeing all the sharks" Soloman

I touched the starfish but I was a bit nervous because I thought the starfish might jump!" Fabian

"The tank with the stingray was hiding under the sand, so I was trying to get it up by staring at it but it wouldn't move!" Bejan 

In science we have been looking at living and non living things. Simrah saw a bird that was alive because it was flying. 

I saw a leaf that was not living because it was on the ground not attached to the tree. Roopshi
