March learning so far...

We have done so much already and couldn't wait to share it with you!

World Book Day

We all came in wearing amazing costumes and had a really fun afternoon, let's take a look..

Can you guess who we were?

The children thought Mrs Monroe was a great Little Red Riding Hood- she had a few apprentices as well!

Some of the books we have really enjoyed this month in support of World Book Day are;

"I Want My Potty!"

Fox's Socks

We always have a book of the week, that we read every day.  The children have started to join in with repeated words and phrases and even have a go at thinking about how the story might end.  Our listening gets better all the time and Mrs Coleman is super proud :)

Exploring colours and how they can be changed

Little Ribbons used the cars to roll through the paint and transfer it on to the paper.

I made tracks - look!

Look it's orange now

Mohamed proudly smiles and says

Playdough fun!

We really enjoy playing with playdough; so instead of the teachers making it for us, this time we did it ourselves!

We practised how well we can listen by taking turns, being gentle with our stirring and waiting patiently when the playdough was being shared out.

Let's Dance

We love to dance, getting our whole bodies moving.

Working all of our muscles is not only great exercise but helps us get strong for writing!

Musical instruments are great fun too. We have started to show more of an interest in the way they sound and even try tapping out simple rhythms.

What will the rest of March bring us?
