The Red Bus & the POP up shop!

 Our Community Hub

The Red Bus

The Red Bus offers parents, carers and their families a place to access support and advice without having to make an appointment.

A Member of the Pastoral Team will be on hand to advise or signpost families to the support they need. We often have ‘drop-in sessions’ with outside agencies on the Red Bus. You will find these dates advertised on the Schools newsletter.

Some of the agencies we work closely with are:

  • The School Nursing Team- Our School Nurses can offer advice around Behaviour management, Health and Wellbeing, bedtime routines, toileting, diet and exercise and much more.
  • Switch and Save – This is a new project running throughout Coventry which enables families to get a better deal for their energy. The scheme offers a simple way for people to spend less by switching to a cheaper tariff. Switch and Save is free and easy, all you have to do is register a few details with a member of the team!
  • Break though Project – This project helps people to get back into employment by offering one to one support tailored to the individual’s needs. The service provides advice and support around debt, finances and housing whilst supporting the client to plan for the future. The team can help to develop skills such as basic IT, numeracy, literacy and CV writing.

The Red Bus is located next to our Year six classroom’s at the top of the Key Stage 2 playground.
The Bus is open every morning from 8.40am – 9am. The Learning Mentor’s and Pastoral Team are on hand to support with any day-to-day worries you may have.

POP UP SHOP

Throughout the term the Pastoral will have regular 'Pop up Shops' as an extension of the Red Bus.

There is always a key focus to the 'shop' and the pastoral team will have range of information to share with families and resources/leaflets for families to take away.

..... and there is always tea and coffee available!

The Pop Up shops have covered a range  of different subjects such as;

  • Internet Safety
  • Punctuality and Attendance
